"Star Wars: Episode IX" now casting new supporting role 'Karina'

I am very excited to announce that there is now a new female supporting role being cast in the Walt Disney Studios/Lucasfilm feature film "Star Wars: Episode IX". This is for the role of "Karina", a female who can portray between 27 - 35 years of age, a "younger Charlize Theron type with street smarts and a sharp wit". The casting directors are open to any ethnicity, but they are requesting that the actors submitted have a good sense of humor, solid comedic timing and a strong voice. Again, I would be extremely happy if one of my feature film actor submission service clients booked this role. It is another chance of a lifetime in my opinion. If anyone is interested in performing a self-made video audition for this role, you can sign up to be submitted to the casting directors. The fee for my submission service is a one time sign-up fee of $99 (this fee is also for submissions to other feature films for one year). After your sign-up fee is received, you will then email me your photos (can be cell phone photos) and general information (contact information, age, height, weight, any special skills or activities, etc.) You will then be submitted to my casting director friend and contact for "Star Wars: Episode IX". Once the casting director contacts you, they will provide a script segment for you to create a self-made audition video. You will then email that video back to the casting director, and the process will continue with a live Skype audition. I need to get the submissions in for this role as soon as possible, so message me here at my Verified Facebook Profile (https://www.facebook.com/alanbaltes) or email me at alan.baltes@gmail.com if you are an actor interested in auditioning.

Note: This role has just been written in to the story by J.J. Abrams. The previous role of "Mara" has is no longer in the story, and the role of "Caro" has been downgraded from lead role to supporting role.

J.J. Abrams is directing "Star Wars: Episode IX", and is also producing along with eight-time Academy Award nominee Kathleen Kennedy and Michelle Rejwan. Film Independent Spirit Award nominee Callum Greene is executive producer. 1st AD is BAFTA Awards winner Tommy Gormley. Academy Award nominee John Schwartzman is DP.

Casting calls for teens to star in Disney Channel Original Movie 'Descendents' about Disney villain's kids and heroes

Disney Casting and Auditions Information for Descendents

Disney's "Descendents" will begin filming Spring, 2014.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

Disney Channel casting directors are now auditioning teens to star in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie "Descendents". The telepic is a live-action adventure-comedy that features the kids of Disney’s classic fairytale characters including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Mulan, Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jafar, Beast and Bella. The auditions are taking place in Los Angeles, and shooting will get underway in Spring, 2015. "Descendents" will premiere on Disney Channel in 2015.

"Descendents" centers on the kids of some of Disney's most evil classic villains, introducing a modern day generation of teenagers who question the evil that's always been in their hearts. Set in a present day idyllic kingdom, where the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters. These villainous descendants (Carlos, Mal, Evvie and Jay, respectively) are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the offspring of iconic Disney heroes including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Mulan. However, the evil teens face a dilemma. They must choose to either follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains regain power, or to embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom.

Three-time Primetime Emmy Award winner Kenny Ortega will direct "Descendents" from an original teleplay written by the two-time Primetime Emmy Award nominated writing team of Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott. Ortega is no stranger to directing Disney Channel Original Movies. He directed the hugely successful and popular "High School Musical" trilogy, as well as "The Cheetah Girls 2". "High School Musical" is the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie ever. "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" was produced on a budget of $11 million, was released in theaters and made over $250 million at the box office worldwide. Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott served as executive producers and writers on the hit series "The Starter Wife" and "Desperate Housewives". They have written screenplays for the feature films "The Favor" starring Brad Pitt, and "Runaway Bride" starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

Disney XD actor and extras casting calls for Kickin' It season 4

Disney Casting Calls For Kickin It Season 4

Kickin' It airs Wednesday nights on Disney XD.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

It’s A Laugh Productions and Poor Soul Productions have begun production on the fourth season of the hit Disney XD comedy series "Kickin' It". Casting calls have gone out for new recurring roles, and will continue throughout the season for various characters. In addition to the actor casting calls, the extras are being hired on an ongoing basis. Disney XD announced that the show would be picked up for a fourth season back in August, 2013. Kickin' It is the network's highest-rated series in total viewers, and season 3 outperformed Season 2 in all ratings by double-digits. Kickin' It season 4 is scheduled to air in 2014.

"Kickin' It" centers on the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy, which is located in a strip mall, and is known as the worst dojo in the under-performing nationwide Bobby Wasabi chain. To improve the dojo's image, a tight knit crew of underdogs enlists new kid Jack to join and help teach them about life, karate and friendship. All the members of the dojo follow the Wasabi code: "We swear by the light of the dragon's eye, to be loyal and honest and never say die. Wasabi!" There are always two to three story lines. The main one teaches a lesson and the others are for comic relief. A new character named Katie will added for season 4. Katie gets a job with Rudy in his new dojo.

Starring in "Kickin' It" is Young Artist Award winner Leo Howard as Jack, the most skilled and talented student in the dojo. Gotham Awards nominee Dylan Riley Snyder plays Milton, a geeky honors student who enrolls in martial arts to defend himself after being bullied. Mateo Arias stars as Jerry, a lone wolf who winds up at the dojo to complete his school P.E. credit. Teen Choice Awards nominee Jason Earles plays former top amateur martial artist Rudy. Olivia Holt, who has played the character Kim for the first three seasons, has left the show to star in her own new Disney Channel series called "I Didn't Do It".

Executive producer/creator/showrunner is Primetime Emmy Award nominee Jim O'Doherty, owner of one of the show's production companies Poor Soul Productions. Kickin' It was inspired by O'Doherty's childhood growing up on Long Island, New York where he earned a green belt in martial arts, but was forced to end his training when his local dojo closed down and was turned into a veterinary clinic. O'Doherty has written and produced for such shows as "3rd Rock from the Sun," "The Tracy Morgan Show," "Grounded for Life," and "How to Rock" among others. Prior to becoming a successful writer and executive producer, O'Doherty was an actor and had small roles on the television shows "That '70s Show" and "Married with Children". Jason Earles, Joey Scott, and Chris Phillips serve as producers on Kickin' It.
